Where culture emerges from nature
The wonders are there to behold. They are part of our landscape where culture and nature are side by side. In front of the spectacular Alpine panorama you can enjoy the open-air mountain cinema. And, in comparison to the 3,000 year old larches, the St.Prokulus Church of Naturno seems exceedingly young. Inside the church one can find the oldest frescoes in the German speaking countries, dating from the 8th century.
Saint Proculus
The church of St. Proculusin Naturno was constructed in the first half of the 7th century as a Germanic wooden church and ist interior shows the oldest fresco in the entire German language area.
The Museion
The Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art in the centre of Bolzano offers all visitors a considerable collection of art works as well as constantly changing exhibitions of national and international artists.
