Blossom Festival

With its mild and sunny climate, Merano and Environs still seems to live up to its 19th century nickname as the "Sunny Balcony on the South". To honour the arrival of Spring, the village of Lana organizes its well-known festival of the Blossom Days every year during April.
In keeping with the traditional character of the festival, the Blossom Days contain a wide range of events and happenings to mark the arrival of Spring, including wine tastings of rare local vintages, evenings dedicated to wild herbs, guided tours through the Fruit Growing Museum in Lana, organized hiking tours to the most traditional wine-growing farms, and much more.

A highlight is the "Street Market of Regional Delicacies" which takes place every year in the middle of April. This market is the perfect event for all nature enthusiasts, those that not only love intact nature, but also the natural and organic character of regional high-quality produce and delicacies. At the Street Market of Regional Delicacies, about 30 regional farmers and four gastronomical market stalls offer customers the most diverse range of regional quality products, from food and wine to local arts and crafts. This is truly an event for all senses, one that is not to be missed!
