Swimming in Merano and Environs
Refreshing mountain lakes and comfortable swimming baths
In summer, courageous nature lovers enjoy diving in the refreshing mountain lakes and ponds. For everyone else, there are the public swimming pools, adventure pools and the stunning views of Merano and Environs, where there are plenty of opportunities to refresh and cool down.
Merano Thermal Baths
A special treat that shouldn‘t be missed is a visit to the Merano Thermal Baths. Situated in the city centre, the Thermal Park extends over five hectares. In the midst of the most delightful vegetation visitors will find many different kinds of swimming pools, including spring pools, stream pools, warm water and coldwater pools and also a Kneipp therapy pool.
Families may prefer the water park in Naturno (Adventure Pool Naturno) that features a huge playground and waterslides for the kids as well as a wellbeing and spa area for adults.
The Panorama Lido of Scena offers visitos a large lawn area for sunbathing with stunning views over the whole Val d'Adige. Equally recommended are the swimming baths (Lidos) in Lana, Lagundo, Tirolo, Merano and in Val Passiria.

Lakes, ponds and mountain lakes
The two lakes of Monticolo and Lake Caldaro are located 35 km south of Merano, popular for bathing in the mild South Tyrol climate. In the mountains however, the temperature is a little cooler. Here visitors will find the fascinating San Felice Lake in Val di Non, or the unique Sopranes Lake that shimmers in many different shades.
