Telescopes - Architecture in Focus

From the early Middle Ages right up to the present day, the spa town of Merano and its surrounding areas have been graced with intriguing buildings. Most of these historical landmarks can be seen from the mountains and highland areas, but you can find them only if you know where to look.

For this reason, telescopes without distorting magnification have been erected at a wide array of locations throughout the entire Merano and Environs region. These Telescopes, which means literally “to look or stare at”, have been placed at key vantage points throughout the area and are directed at selected buildings and objects. The Telescopes cannot rotate: it is meant to focus solely on a single building.
