with Swiss world champion Oskar Camenzind and three times long distance world champion Rainer Popp from Germany.
Our programme features seven bike tours for two groups of athletes at different levels with Oskar Camenzind and Rainer Popp alternating as guides between one group and the other. Details regarding the next day’s tour will be given to participants at a briefing session every evening and there will be a test centre with racing bikes, frames, wheels and clothing on display. Qualified bike guides will accompany the tours as well as a Sportler-sponsored supplies van with refreshments, sandwiches, bananas, energy-bars and fruit juices. A daily shuttle bus service will be available for athletes and their bikes and all participants will be given a road-book with details of the route, altitude and other essential information. The experts will share valuable tips about training and technique together with video-analysis sessions. Exclusive attraction – Quick-Step Professional Claudio Bignotti will be on hand for massage treatment.

A really exciting event, organised by the Ötzi Bike Academy, which features seven different bike tours to choose from, each with an easier and more difficult route. Swiss national trainer, Urs Graf, and his son Jürg Graf will be there to accompany athletes on at least four of the rides. There will be a briefing session every evening about the following day’s programme together with video analysis regarding training and correct technique on bends and on hilly stretches. Participants will also be able to have a look at various racing bike models, wheels, frames and specialist clothing. Experienced guides from the Ötzi Bike Academy will accompany athletes at all times during the event and there will be a supplies van with refreshments, sandwiches, bananas, energy-bars and fruit juices at their disposal. Participants will be given a road-book with details of the route, altitude and other essential information and experts will be there with valuable tips about training and technique.

A classic 42.195 km. long triathalon featuring mountain bike, running and ski events which takes participants from the low-lying valley apple orchards and vineyards right up to the high mountain glaciers with fantastic views of Juval Castle, summer residence of Reinhold Messner, well-known mountaineer and explorer, half way up on the Naturno Monte Sole. Then up again through the beautiful Val Senales Valley to Maso Corto and higher still as far as the Val Senales Valley glacier at 3,200 metres above sea-level, not far from the place where Ötzi, the famous Man from the Ice, was found. This truly great event covers an altitude difference of some 3,300 metres and is a challenge for only the fittest and bravest of athletes!

Summer, sunshine, holiday time ... and the word FAMILY has a special meaning here in Naturno! Our summer programme is a guaranteed hit with children and adults alike. Hey! What about that! I’ve never seen a purple cow before! And what’s this delicious bread with seeds in it? There’s so much to see and learn about when you visit the
Oberniederhof farm and lots of animals to feed and cuddle. You might want to help with the milking and find out how milk gets from the cow to the supermarket shelves. And what about
a walk with the lama – such interesting, docile, children-friendly animals! Fun and games for the whole family- a look at some ancient caves, a barbeque with sausages spitting o n the grill and, only for our younger visitors, a day out with the experienced
Texel Park rangers on an exciting nature hunt for a closer look at the local fauna and flora.

Naturno sets a romantic scene for its “Night of Lights” on the four Wednesday evenings in July. The village streets and squares will be lined with various stalls selling traditional local South Tyrolean produce and specialities together with a selection of attractive craftwork set against a background of live music and various other entertainment. A fantastic evening out for the entire family! The village bars, coffee shops, restaurants and hotels will be delighted to welcome you and local craftsmen will be there to show you their work. Why not sample a few Alpine Wellness recipes or a slice of the more traditional, fragrant, ever-popular apple strudel!

An ages-old tradition and a great excuse for a get-together, every Wednesday from 15.30 onwards in the square by the village fountain – sweet, hot, roasted chestnuts with a glass of Sußer, the light “new” autumn wine, and perhaps some homemade Krapfen pastries with their various delicious fillings all accompanied by some typically local background music.

6th Riesling Wine Festival in Naturno
4-star Superior ambience and the culinary highlights of selected star-rated chefs to be experienced at the 2nd Gourmet Autumn in Naturno! While star-rated chefs from various Italian regions will prepare exclusive gala menus every Wednesday, every Tuesday you can enjoy a degustation menu on the topic of Riesling wine.
