An idyll of past and present

There is a reason why the villages Tisens and Prissian are called “castle villages”: Set in an enchanting spot in the Tisner low mountains, far from the main thoroughfares, they attracted the aristocrats of centuries gone by, who spent their summer holidays here. Six castles and palaces bear testimony to these summer holidays of times past and speak to us of another age.

For today’s visitor, the villages have preserved the stillness and atmosphere that emerges from their narrow, winding streets. Yet, hospitable hotels, rooms and appartments are equipped with all modern conveniences.
