The ambience
Though the
treatments offered still include
radon-containing mineral water (radon spa), the
Merano Thermal Baths of today do not have much in common with the traditional health resort of the past. An impressive oasis of
well-being, designed by the renowned architect
Matteo Thun has been created in the heart of the city. A transparent cube of glass and steel with warmly accented wooden elements, arches above the
thirteen indoor pools. In the 50.000 sq. meter
park belonging to the thermal baths, twelve open-air swimming pools have been added. The overall effect offers
pure relaxation in the midst of nature.
The spa and feel-good facilities
The recently opened
Spa and Vitality area will also add to your improved well-being. On entering, you will leave the stress of everyday life behind and enjoy our large selection of
massages, aroma baths or
body packs.
Whether they are relaxing or vitalizing, strengthening or purifying, all the treatments have one thing in common: they make use of only the best quality
South Tyrolean products. Sports Packages or Packages for Two have been created to awaken the interest of the modern man. The Merano Thermal Baths also offers its own exclusive line of
bodycare products for today's discerning woman. And the ingredients? Apple and mint – from the surrounding South Tyrolean countryside.
Sauna and fitness
Relaxation through movement is not necessarily a paradox. One can discover the truth of this by visiting the
fitness center: the purpose is not to set new sport records, but to creating an individual workout schedule. The architecture of the building gives an added dimension: during training one can see a
wonderful panorama through the glass facade, which adds to the wholistic experience of ones own body.
The sauna offers a further opportunity to find inner awareness and somatic relaxation.
A great variety is available, from the
Finnish log-cabin sauna to the
caldarium, and the different
steam baths promise you a most enjoyable and comforting experience. Afterwards, a very special way of chilling awaits you in the
Snow Room, giving you the sensation of being in the midst of the glacier mountain world of South Tyrol.
